Senior Manufacturing Administrator

This is a new role at Calnex and an ideal opportunity for someone with several years of varied administration experience to provide and manage the administration aspects of the manufacturing function so that it operates effectively and supports the needs of the team and the business. Our Manufacturing team manage the supply chain of products, components and packaging necessary to fulfil customer orders for Calnex products. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a small team and be able to innovate and deliver in a fast paced and busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing:
    Processing and tracking of customer orders from receipt of order through to delivery of goods. Netsuite, a cloud-based software package, is used throughout the order receipt to fulfilment process.
  • Record Keeping:
    Maintaining systems for managing records of customer shipments in line with the requirements of the business and HMRC.
  • Stock Control:
    Updating stock records when goods are received and goods are shipped. Managing loan of stock to both customers and sales teams. Assisting in annual stock audits.
  • Internal document management:
    Department procedures. Manufacturing data packs.
  • Where practical, liaising with suppliers on behalf of engineers with regards to:
    Issuing manufacturing packages, updates and change requests. Raising Quality issues and tracking to closure. Ordering/purchasing of products/material.
  • Issue and Action Tracking:
    Ensuring generic issues (not product specific issues) are tracked to satisfactory closure.
  • Liasing with shipping companies (DHL/Fedex) in relation to export queries/customs issues.

These responsibilities will require a working knowledge of the systems used by Calnex Solutions - in particular Netsuite, SharePoint and EDM, although no prior knowledge is necessary. Similarly for knowledge of import and export processes and documentation requirements.

Esstential Skills:

  • Several years of varied experience in administration roles.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages – predominantly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and innovate.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a dynamic team.
  • Flexible and open minded approach to implementing new process.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail orientated and driven to deliver in dynamic environment

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • HNC or above in Business Administration.

Initially, this is a part time role, 24 hours per week, that could develop into a full time role in the future. We practice flexible working hours at Calnex and are open to discussing how these hours are initially arranged to work best for the candidate and team.
