Calnex Teams Up with JDSU
Edinburgh, Scotland 19 August 2008.
Calnex Solutions announced a strategic collaboration with JDSU today. Under the agreement, JDSU will provide sales and technical support for the leading-edge Paragon family of test solutions from Calnex and incorporate the Paragon into JDSU’s Communications Test portfolio.
The Calnex Paragon has emerged as the leading solution to enable the migration of legacy networks to Next-Gen packet-based networks. The Paragon is able to capture profiles from real-networks and use these in test beds to prove the performance of equipment for real-world deployment. A key area of interest has been delivering Timing and Sync over Next-Gen networks for Mobile Backhaul with technologies such as Circuit Emulation (CES), 1588v2 PTP, Synchronous Ethernet and NTP.
“The Calnex Paragon is an excellent enhancement to JDSU’s market-leading portfolio of test and service assurance solutions for Next-Gen Backhaul networks”, said Uwe Benz, head of JDSU’s Complementary Products Organisation. “Calnex’s significant expertise in Sync and Carrier Ethernet technologies also makes them an ideal partner for a technology-driven company like JDSU.”
Tommy Cook, Calnex CEO said “JDSU’s extensive team will help Calnex reach our customers and provide them with the best support in the industry. They are also extremely knowledgeable in the areas of Sync and Ethernet and this will help our customers solve their current issues in proving Next-Gen technologies and getting equipment and networks deployed.”
